“Films That Make You Feel Good”

DMLL Lead Researcher: Katherine Wimpenny |

OTL Project Officer: Esmé Spurling

Workshop 1: Ethical Considerations

Currently working with Lead researcher, Katherine Wimpenny, (DMLL) the Office of Teaching & Learning supporting an exciting project for Media & Communication students currently undergoing their professional experience module 201MC.

This project aims to offer high quality curated cinema experiences in the form of films that have been carefully selected for their uplifting quality.

With the support from second year MC students, we aim to capture what impact an arts project has on the community and individual’s wellbeing. This will be done through a series of methods that will connect people with other members of the local community, as well as offering signposting to community services that people may find helpful to access.

Overall, we wish to develop the best practise framework.

Not only is this an opportunity for students to gain professional experience, but we are able to contribute positively to the community and allow for collaboration to spark in the form of arts related qualitative research.
